Morning Sickness ...

Yesterday was my first morning sickness "episode." I have been feeling nauseous here and there, but haven't had any morning sickness until yesterday morning. I told Bryan that I felt really bad on Wednesday night and that it was a different feeling than any other day. The next morning, sure enough, I was sick. It wasn't that bad, and I felt much better afterwards. Yuck - but it is all worth it! Good thing my friend, Antonietta, gave me a great goodie bag filled with peppermints and all sorts of stuff to help with morning sickness. It really came in handy!

We painted the nursery!

We painted the nursery. The color is called, Cream Silk! It is a soothing buttery yellow color. Fun!

Our little miracle!

Today was awesome! I had my second doctor's visit this afternoon. It was a long appointment, approximately 2 hours. I met with the nurse first and reviewed nutrition and "what to expect." After meeting with the nurse, I met with Dr. Amanda. She checked to make sure that everything was okay and then she told me that she would try to listen for the heartbeat. I was surprised because they told me we would only listen after 12 weeks (and I will only be at 11 weeks on Thursday). Dr. Amanda tried to find the heartbeat and after searching for a minute or two, she found it! I was so happy that I started to cry. There is a little miracle growing in my body. I called Bryan right away. He was sad that he wasn't there to hear it, too. Walking out of the doctor's office I couldn't help but grin from ear-to-ear! Only 204+/- days to go!

1st Doctor's Visit

My first doctor's visit was on October 2nd. The doctor reassured me that I was pregnant and that everything looked okay. When she mentioned that I was pregnant, it all felt real. We are excited!

You're going to be a Daddy!

I found out that I was pregnant on Thursday, September 11th. I took a pregnancy test in the morning before I went to work. I was so excited. I couldn't wait to tell Bryan. I thought about waiting until September 17th (Bryan's 30th Birthday), but I couldn't keep this secret. I told him in the evening when he got home. We were so excited we were jumping around the kitchen and had tears in our eyes. Even in these first few weeks, it has already been a miraculous journey. We feel so blessed!
