Hospital Tour

Yesterday we had our hospital tour! My mom, dad, Bryan and I walked around the 3rd floor and asked lots of questions. It was really wonderful seeing exactly where we need to go. Just being at the hospital and seeing the maternity ward made me feel relaxed. We saw the triage rooms,  where I will be checked in and admitted. This is where the nurses and doctors will see how I am initally doing and decide on whether or not to admit me. Then, I will go to the LDR (Labor, Delivery and Recovery) room. This is where I will go through my labor, deliver the baby, and recover for about 2 hours. The rooms were really nice. Some of the rooms have jacuzzi tubs, which is something that I thought I would like. However, after seeing those rooms, I decided that I would prefer a different room. The jacuzzi rooms have no natural sunlight because they have no windows. I know I wouldn't like that at all. Once the baby is born, the baby and I will stay in that room for about 2 hours until they move me to a postpartum room. The baby and I will be in the postpartum room for another day or two before we are allowed to go home. 

All the rooms are great! They have tv's and wireless email access. Who knows if we will use it or not, but I guess we will see. Only 30 days left!!!
