Baby Shower @ Sterling Inn - March 21

Our second baby shower was at the Sterling Inn. It was beautiful. I hope to get some pictures on this blog soon. The tables had pots of shamrocks for centerpieces (the shamrocks were also the gift for our guests). It was great seeing all of our family and friends. I loved seeing everyone and it was great to hear them talk about our little baby.

The best surprise was that my best friend, Becky, flew in from Las Vegas. I couldn't believe it! I started to cry instantly. She really surprised me. Everyone kept it a secret and it was a wonderful surprise. Becky mentioned that she wanted to see my baby bump! Becky will be home again in June and she will see the baby when he/she is one month old.

We got so many gifts. It shows you how loved we are and how loved this baby is, too. I can't wait until Bryan finishes the baby's room, so we can move all of his/her stuff in the room.

We are so in love with this baby. I already feel like I know this baby even before he/she is born. only 56 days to go!!!

Baby Shower @ Long Meadow - March 20

We had our first baby shower on Friday, March 20th. It was wonderful. The teachers at my school had it before school. The shower began at 7:45am. The teacher's lounge was decorated beautifully, and the tables had flowers on them. Each table had a stem of the belles of Ireland and three white tulips (one tulip to represent mommy, one to represent daddy, and one to represent baby). I loved seeing the tulips on the table not only because they are my favorite flower, but because my dad gave my mom flowers at the hospital when I was born.

The baby is already spoiled. He/she got so many gifts! It was fun going home and reopening the gifts. Everything is so cute. We got a lot of toys, clothes, and much more. Julie Chapie made a scrapbook for highlights of the baby's first year, and Sheryl Morris painted an ocean mural on a table and it will look great in the nursery. What a lucky little baby!!

Doctor's Visit

I saw Dr. Wolfe today. The baby's heartbeat was regular and did not drop a beat this time.
The baby's heart rate was 160 beats per minute. According to old wives tales, that means that it's a girl. I guess we will see soon enough. my blood pressure was great and I am measuring at 32 weeks. So far, so good! I am getting really excited. I can't wait until this baby is born.
